Thanks to its natural diversity, with forests and expansive heathland in an undulating landscape, the Sallandse Heuvelrug is very popular with riders, with or without carriages.
From node to node

As a result, several routes have been created, allowing riders to take a ride through the National Park. At the intersection Raalterweg/Koordesweg there is a starting point for riders with three parking places with space for car and trailer, two paddocks and a water point. There are special equestrian routes that are part of Paardrijnetwerk Twente. You ride from junction to junction by simply putting together your route. The junction system consists of marked equestrian routes (a total of 500 kilometers). The Forestry Commission also has various equestrian routes on The Sallandse Heuvelrug. Want to saddle your horse and enjoy a snack and a drink on the adjacent terrace? On the Holterbergplein there is a special paddock accessible from the Oude Hellendoornseweg.
