Are you in charge of organising the team outing or family day out? Have you got high expectations of this day out? It goes without saying that you want everyone to have a good time and talk about this outing for a long time to come. Hold your horses, stop your search. The Sallandse Heuvelrug is perfect. You will immediately agree when you arrive at the National Park. We guarantee that an enthusiastic colleague or aunt will exclaim something along the lines of: “I feel like I’m abroad!”

Outdoor activities

Try a water saferi on the Regge river or take a tour with a forest ranger. Put on some sturdy boots for one of the Stille Struintochten (Silent Strolls) through an unspoilt landscape. Daytime seems the sensible choice. Evenings or night-time make this route a lot more exciting. Or choose forest cooking: all about chopping wood and honest food. Nature photography is a great choice too. The Dutch Forest Management Agency and the Society for the Preservation of Nature offer various inspiring packages for teambuilding with your colleagues. What’s more, when you book a company outing, you also help these organisations with the conservation of the natural areas.

Indoor activities

Escape from the laser track, dismantle the bomb, find your way through New York with VR glasses and crack the code to beat The Matrix. A pub quiz, pop quiz or sports quiz is great for a fun atmosphere and an evening of laughter. The enthusiastic quizmaster from De Wilgenweard takes the teams to task with various question rounds. You decide the topic: pub, pop or sports.

A bigger challenge

Sallandse Heuvelrug Outdoor Centre, De Wilgenweard in Nijverdal and Outdoors in Holten all offer rugged and challenging bushcraft adventures for groups who are confident about more daring missions. From making coffee out in the open to GPS adventures. Are you brave enough to spend the night in the forest with no more than the clothes you’re wearing and your sleeping bag? We’ll throw in the fantastic views free of charge. A chance meeting with a red deer, deer, wild boar or beaver is a free extra too!
