Respect for your surroundings
Outdoor Code

Dutch people love to experience the outdoors and it’s getting more crowded with everyone out enjoying sports or other activities in the forest. This can sometimes cause friction between visitors, because not everyone is understanding of the way others want to experience nature.

We ask visitors of nature areas to give each other the space to enjoy themselves and to protect their surroundings. The Outdoor Code consists of five rules: - Be friendly, give each other space and reduce your speed
- Take responsibility for your own behaviour towards nature and its users
- Feel confident to address the behaviour of others
- Be safe when being active and sporty in nature, wear protection
- Stay on the paths and give nature its space↵
