More than 75 different species of birds have their nesting site in the National Park. The most rare species are the European stonechat, raven, nightjars and of course the black grouse. The ancient pine forests are home to coal tits, crested tits and red crossbills, and birds of prey like the European honey buzzard and hawk can be seen and heard.
