Informative lecture on MPN: a rare blood disease explained

Are you or a loved one affected by MPN? Or are you just curious about what this rare blood disease entails? Then come to the lecture on Myeloproliferative Neoplasias (MPN), organized by the Vechtgenotenhuis in cooperation with Saxenburgh Medical Center.

During this evening, Loes Cornelissen, hematologist, and Milou Sanders, hematology nursing specialist, provide an accessible explanation of:

  • what MPN is and what forms there are (such as polycythaemia vera, essential thrombocytosis and myelofibrosis)
  • how the disease is diagnosed and treated
  • what you can do yourself and what to expect
  • the MPN-SAF score list
  • what it's like to live with MPN - for patients and their loved ones.

Patient association Hematon and foundation MPN will be present with volunteers and information.
