Competitions and tracks
The cycle track follows the slopes of the Holterberg. The swimming race takes place in a large quarry pond and the last - thrillingly tense - running race leads through the centre of Holten, transformed into a grandiose festival site for the occasion. Register as soon as possible if you relish a challenge. There are 11 distances to choose from, for various different levels. The top athletes could qualify for the world championships or the Olympic Games. Don’t be put off by the elite races. Everyone is welcome: young and old - amateurs and top athletes. From world-class sportspeople to local talent.
Festival
Every year for the last 35 years, this event has gotten better and more lively. This sentiment is shared by both participants and their fans. New for 2019: the food court. Serving the tastiest local dishes and a colourful array of street food. There are podiums for bands and shows for children. You can’t fail to feel at ease and entertained.
Blood, sweat and tears
Would you like to take part? A triathlon should not be taken lightly; those in the know call it a lifestyle. One that involves a lot of training, discipline and - let’s be honest - not much of a home life. The great thing about Holten is that you can bring your family. There is plenty to do, such as the kids run or the Vivera run. If your nearest and dearest would don’t want to join in, they can cheer you on instead. Odds are that they get the bug and want to take part next year!
